Xchat
A name “Xchat” is continuously viral on YouTube, Tech blogs, Vlogs, and Social Media for few months and they described the Xchat as an alternative to WhatsApp. This app has been developed by a well-known tech giant “Elon Musk”. Many people are still confused that is really Elon Musk owned this product or not.
Over the past twelve years, I’ve installed chat apps on almost every kind of Android phone you can imagine. Cheap devices that struggle to open the camera. Mid-range phones that most people actually use every day. And powerful flagship models that make everything look smooth. I’ve seen clean apps that respect users.
When people ask me about newer or lesser-known messaging platforms, one name that keeps popping up lately is XChat. So, I did what I always do. I installed it. I tested the official version from the Play Store. I tried the App APK version from third-party sites. I watched what it did in the background. I checked permissions carefully. I used it for several days like a normal person would.
Xchat app is a privacy fixed version of previous name “Twitter”, new name “X”. The reality about Xchat is that it provides “end-to-end-encryption, disappearing messages, audio/ video calls, images and files sharing system. It is challenging to big communication apps like “WhatsApp” and “Telegram”. Xchat has been introduced to challenge these communication apps by security user data privacy.
Many fake apps are rolling but the “Xchat app APK” still not released as standalone. It is available with X that is previous Twitter app. But the developer has announced that they will soon release it’s APK for Android, IPA for iOS, another operating system compatible version soon.
The rolling information about the best alternative to WhatsApp and Telegram. In this article we will understand the following key information.
A Short Introduction to Xchat App?
- Is Xchat an alternative to WhatsApp?
- Xchat Key Features,
- Privacy Security and Reality,
- XChat Comparison with other Apps,
- Required Operating Systems,
This is my honest review. No hype. No fear-mongering. Just real observations from real testing.
A Short Introduction to Xchat App APK:
At its core, XChat App is a mobile App application focused on online chatting. Depending on the build and region, it may offer:
• One-to-one messaging
• Public or community chat rooms
• Basic media sharing
• Profile customization
• Push notifications
No heavy animations. No complicated tabs. Just chats, profile settings, and in some versions, a discover or public room section.
The well-known tech giant “Elon Musk” has introduced a new alternative app named Xchat app APK to Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, and many other communication applications. He tried X platform (Previous Twitter) a new ecosystem where social media, payments gateway, callings, messaging and videos all are under a single platform that is X. He tried the following features in X.
- X is a new encrypted messaging ecosystem,
- The best competitor to WhatsApp, Telegram and Signal,
- Video and Audio Calls, image and files transfer, and more other facilities with real end-to-end encrypted system and where no phone number required to contact with persons.
The Xchat’s codebase rust is written and encrypted in Bitcoin-style-peer-to-peer security model. That simplicity can be good. But simple doesn’t automatically mean safe or well-optimized.
User Interface and Impressions
The login or registration process is straightforward. Some versions require a phone number. Others allow email signup. I prefer email for privacy reasons, so that option was welcome.
The home screen is clean. Chat list at the front. A bottom navigation bar in some builds. In public chat-enabled versions, there’s a discover section where you can browse rooms.
It feels slightly basic compared to modern messaging apps. Fonts are standard. Icons are simple. No custom themes in the version I tested.
Is Xchat App Exist?
From a reliable source, it has been confirmed that the Elon Musk has announced that an Android, iOS, and Web version of Xchat app APK will be rollout soon.
- Xchat is exist under “X” platform and available for X users only,
- An Android (APK), iOS (IPA) and Web (EXE) version will be released soon as compromised,
- Near future, Xchat will be a standalone app for all operating systems.
Many apps with the name of Xchat Pro APK rolling in the app market and in different sources on internet are fake. Those apps are not the official Xchat app of Elon Musk. So, wait a few times more to get the right app from the right sources.

Features of Xchat App APK:
Users are searching for the official Elon Musk’s Xchat app APK from the world not for fake apps. The Xchat has unique and beneficial features to protect user data and privacy. The best features that Xchat offers are;
Text Messaging
Messages send quickly over Wi-Fi and stable 4G. On slower mobile data, I noticed occasional delay indicators, but nothing extreme.
Typing indicators work. Read receipts exist in some versions, depending on settings.
I tested sending messages between two phones side by side. Delivery time was mostly under two seconds on stable networks. That’s acceptable.
Group Chats and Public Rooms
This is where the app stands out a little.
Public chat rooms are available in some builds. That means you can join conversations without knowing people personally.
It reminds me slightly of older chat platforms. It’s social. Open. Sometimes chaotic.
Moderation quality varies. In some rooms, conversations were normal. In others, there was spam and random links.
If you’re sensitive to online noise, public rooms may feel messy.
Media Sharing
You can send:
• Images
• Emojis
• Stickers
• Voice messages (in supported builds)
Image compression is noticeable. The quality drops slightly after sending. Not terrible. But if you compare it with Telegram’s file sharing, you’ll see the difference.
Voice messages were clear. No distortion. Playback worked smoothly on mid-range devices.
Notifications
Push notifications worked reliably on my 6GB RAM device.
On the cheap phones, notifications sometimes got delayed when battery saver mode was active. That’s common with many apps on low-end phones.
Disabling battery optimization for the app fixed most delays.
End-to-End Encryption (E2EE):
- The E2EE is the basic promise to provide real security for users,
- The actual E2EE will protect audio and videos call, files and images transfer, messages, etc,
- A message from sender and receiver has to be accessed and the middle man will not be accessible to that message.
Disappearing Messages:
- As WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal, the Xchat has messages disappearing option,
- Set time duration to auto delete a message,
- An extra secure privacy layer to protect personal and sensitive discussions.
Voice and Video Calls:
- Xchat’s design is completely focus on Video and Voice calls,
- You can use Xchat through your contacts, followers, or direct option,
- Xchat allows group video calls.
File and Media Sharing:
- End-to-end encrypted file and media sharing,
- Large documents, high-quality images, Videos can be share,
- Xchat provides direct premium content sharing option.
No Phone Number Required:
- In Xchat there are multiple options to create an account. The phone number will be optional.
- This is a best option for those whom are conscious about exposing their phone number.
X Ecosystem Integration:
- Xchat will be integrated with “X Ecosystem” for communities, Lists, Followers, and profiles,
- You can start with the person of whom you are reading if you choose X to create account.
- The X ecosystem provide a safe and secure payments, direct fan communications, and support.
Xchat APK: The Alternative to WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal:
WhatsApp and Xchat:
WhatsApp:
- 2 billion users,
- Mature E2EE,
- Global adoption,
- Mobile number-based identity,
Xchat:
- Integration with X ecosystem,
- Phone number is optional to use,
- Direct links to content creators, and public conversation,
- Xchat is a trust and user-based app rather WhatsApp don’t have that level.
Telegram and Xchat:
Telegram:
- Telegram is cloud-based app which offers multi device sync, huge groups/channels, bots,
- The default chat is not encrypted; only secret chat is fully encrypted.

- Xchat is directly attached with X timeline,
Signal and Xchat:
Signal:

Pros and Cons (Realistic View)
Let’s keep this balanced.
What I Liked
• Simple interface
• Easy signup
• Works on mid-range devices
• Public chat option for social users
• No aggressive ads in official version
What I Didn’t Like
• Public rooms can contain spam
• Limited transparency on encryption
• APK variants vary in safety
• Slightly outdated design
• Background data use higher than some competitors
It’s not a terrible app. But it’s not premium-grade either.
Privacy Reality Check
If privacy is your top priority, use apps that publicly document encryption standards.
With XChat, information about encryption is limited. That makes me cautious.
- Use it for casual chatting.
- Not for banking discussions.
- Not for sending identity documents.
Stay practical.
